Capabilities & Background
Our staff has extensive technical skills in network technologies:
- Developing network architectures and scalable network systems.
- Fiber optic, T1, and ethernet networks.
- Convergence technologies for voice (including Voice Over Internet Protocol, VoIP), video data, and satellite communications.
- ATM, SONET, and TCP/IP networking standards.
- Voice and video standards (G.7xx and H.32x).
We integrate and test all of our technical solutions for voice, data and video transmission. We write test reports, application notes, and installation and configuration guidelines for tested equipment. Our staff is also familiar with time division multiplexers, PBXs, cryptographic equipment, video teleconferencing equipment, network test equipment, and numerous computer operating systems.
Our vast experience speaks for itself:
- We manage and maintain 2,000 heterogenous desktop systems at NASA Ames Research Center and 1,300 at Dryden Flight Research Center.
- Development of end-to-end data systems in support of both the Space Shuttle and the International Space Station.
- Oversight and development of the Telescience Support Center (ground station), including its hardware and software infrastructure and architecture.
- Development of the entire ground-based, Oracle-based data storage and retrieval system to handle telemetry, command, and science data for the Space Station Biological Research Project. We also architected and administered the networks and WAN interfaces for that system.
In addition, we have supported NASA, FAA, Battelle and MITRE by providing technical management to implement the critical data recording capabilities for a nationwide network of commercial air carriers.
